About your course
This Food & Drink Process Operator Level 2 Apprenticeship will cover a broad range of topics, providing Process Operators with the key skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to ensure food and drink products are safe and compliant as well as health and safety, environment and sustainability, quality, and customer requirements are met whilst working as part of a team to meet deadlines, productivity and efficiency targets.
Introduction to Food & Drink Process Operators
The broad purpose of the Food & Drink Process Operator is to complete food and drink processing procedures to contribute to the manufacture of safe and compliant food products. They support technical operators to complete start up, set up, line changeovers, and shut down of food and drink production lines and machinery. They monitor product quality and throughput against key performance indicators. With a team focus, they prepare for the on-coming shift and provide handovers. Contributing to continuous improvement, stock control and audits is also part of the role.

How will your qualification be delivered
Our sector expert staff will support you to achieve the apprenticeship. We have highly skilled and knowledgeable staff with significant experience of working in the industry who will be able to share their experiences and support you. All learning is either on a 1-2-1 basis or small group webinars so you have the best experience possible with Phoenix 4 Training. You will have an eportfolio to gather and store all your evidence to support your apprenticeship.
End Point Assessment
There will be an external assessment at the end of the programme once the apprentice has achieved the ‘gateway’ requirements. The End Point Assessment (EPA) for the Food and Drink Process Operator Apprenticeship includes:

Practical Skills Observation
Professional Interview
The end-point assessment must be completed over a maximum total assessment time of two days, within an EPA period lasting typically for three months after the apprentice has met the EPA gateway requirements.
