Warehousing is a requirement for most businesses that manufacture, import, export or transport goods. If you enjoy co-ordinating and overseeing a job to its completion, then a career in the logistics, distribution and warehousing industry is for you.

You’ll be involved in organising the storage and distribution of goods to ensure the right products are delivered to the right location and on time – which may be within the UK, Europe or worldwide. You may be involved in organising the transportation of goods by air, sea, rail or road (including the selection of transport companies); stock control; and the processing, packaging and tracking of orders.

Food and drink operator apprenticeships

This occupation is found in the food and drink manufacturing sector.

Companies range in size, from small to large. They may produce one type of food and drink product or a range of products. Products may include biscuits, cakes, confectionery, fresh fruit, ready-to-eat and ready-to cook food, sandwiches, salads, soft drinks, and wraps.
